Services

The birth support service includes:

  • Two prenatal visits. These will include (but not limited to) getting to know each other better, talking about your birth preferences and concerns, practice body work for birth preparation and discuss comfort measures. These meetings are also tailored to your individual needs.

  • Labor continuous support at home and/or the birthing place. After birth, staying for another one to two hours to check mother and baby are settled with the care they need and help initiate breastfeeding if needed.

  • One postpartum visit to check on the family, review the birth, share resources and help with newborn basics.

I will be working with you to:

  • provide physical comfort and emotional support and facilitate communication between you, medical staff, and care providers.

  • help you get the information you need to make an informed decision.

  • discuss your concerns with you and suggest options, as well as encourage you and your partner to voice your opinions, questions and concerns to the staff.

  • direct you to resources that might help you answer your questions and make informed decisions.
